The Chakradance facilitator training programme provides a unique opportunity to experience the practice of Chakradance for yourself in your own home, whilst at the same time gaining the tools and know-how to become a licensed Chakradance facilitator. What’s Involved in becoming a Chakradance Facilitator?

The Chakradance facilitator training programme is offered via correspondence over three months. Approximately seven hours per week is the anticipated amount of time needed to commit to this highly experiential training programme.

There are two key areas of focus – a theoretical background and training in the practical application of running a class.

As a Chakradance facilitator you are trained according to our principles and methodology and must gain certification before becoming a licensee. The certification programme will help you gain a deeper understanding of the philosophical context of Chakradance through prescribed readings, meditation exercises, dance and short assignments. We will cover the practice and fundamentals of Chakradance, the chakra system and Jungian psychological perspectives. The training also covers business management, group leadership and understanding all aspects of running a class. You will need to videotape yourself and submit this for assessment.

If you are successful in completion of all written and practical components, you will be eligible for a license to facilitate Chakradance under the guidelines laid out in the license agreement.

The Areas Covered in the Training Are:

Chakradance Theory and Practice

You will experience the chakras based on the Chakradance practice, via CDs and a DVD. This will allow you to move through all seven chakras developing a theoretical understanding of the chakra system. In addition, exploring the Chakradance principles will allow you to gain a personal understanding of your own chakra system and identify any imbalances.

Principles of Jungian Psychology

You will be introduced to the key theories of Jungian Psychology, gaining an appreciation of the connection between the Jungian map and the chakra system. A further look into Jungian approaches will demonstrate the importance of exploring the inner subjective world of experiences. This aspect of the training will provide you with a foundation in the psychology underlying Chakradance. Working closely with archetypes and symbolism, you will experience the relationship of these dimensions within the Chakradance experience. By examining these elements, you will not only gain an understanding of Jung’s central concept known as ‘The Process of Individuation’ but also gain a deeper awareness of its significance within the healing process.

Chakradance Class Management

Participants of the training will also be taken through all aspects of running a Chakradance class, from preparing the setting and personal preparation through to demonstrations and group leadership skills. Participants will gain a strong foundation in all aspects of managing a class, as well as a clear understanding of how the principles and the code of conduct set up the framework within which a Chakradance class is carried out.

Business Management

This addresses the business related aspects of running Chakradance including promotion and advertising, legal issues, client management, record keeping, professional memberships, insurance, music licenses, Chakradance license, limits of competence and supervision. Participants will gain an overall structure and guide into running Chakradance as a business, or as part of an existing business with other healing modalities.

Financial Investment

The fee for the Chakradance Facilitator Training programme is $1,500 AUD. Upon successful completion of the training you will be eligible to become a licensee of Chakradance. The annual license fee is $150 AUDand includes listing on our website directory. Additional costs will include course materials, insurance, music licenses, association membership.

Steps to Becoming a Facilitator

• Complete an application Form

• Attend a Chakradance workshop or retreat if practical
• Complete Home Study programme
• Complete First Aid Certificate
• Receive certification as a Chakradance teacher upon passing the practical requirements and successfully completing the entire home study course.
