Not really. Chakradance is as much an inner experience as a physical one. It's a form of exercise for your whole being, not just for your body. So people can benefit from Chakradance even if they are physically unfit, obese, or even wheelchair-bound. And as a Facilitator, your role is more about preparing the space, providing guidance to your participants, and what we call "holding the energy" of the group, rather than doing too much dancing yourself.
The important thing is to respect your own physical abilities and fitness levels, and work within them.
You can try out the training with our initial short "Discovery" course at any time that suits you. But the main Accreditation Course is now structured into 12-week terms. This is to help you to complete the training at the pace that experience has taught us works best; and also to help us to help you by better organizing our training resources.
Structuring it this way has also allowed us to offer membership of an exclusive facebook discussion group, hosted by Natalie (invitation-only, membership confined to us and each term's trainees) so you can share experiences and ask questions - of us, but also of each other, so you get much more out of the training experience.
We try to be flexible in accommodating late-comers during the first week or two of each term, as most people find they can catch up quite quickly.
And we typically allow a week or two's 'grace' at the end of the training if people need a little more time to organize their 'demo' class for submission.
But we do expect trainees to stick as closely as possible to the term's timetable. Experience has taught us that the training works best when you maintain a regular momentum. Even if you feel "stuck" in a particular chakra, it is best to move on, as work on any one chakra has impacts on all the others too - the whole chakra system is inter-connected.
In Chakradance, the music is resonating to the frequency of each chakra and is most powerful when we feel the music. Test different volumes, and find a volume loud enough for you to feel the pulsing of the music.
Approximately 4 hours each week (whenever suits your schedule) will be required to read the workbooks, dance the classes, watch the videos and complete the exercises. Plus you'll want to spend a bit of time each week in the private discussion group led by Natalie on Facebook.
The spontaneous movements that you create will take you where you need to go. There is no need to force or try to simulate some pre-determined thought of how the dance is ‘supposed’ to be or look. If you let your body guide you rather than trying to guide your body, Chakradance will have a better chance to take you to centre of each chakra and unfold the mystery of your own presence and power.
Chakradance is for everyone from young adults through to old-age. As each participant finds their own dance, you can move as softly or energetically as you like. Each person can take it at their own pace and fitness level.
For young children (Primary School age) we have developed a children's version of Chakradance called inamojo™ - if this interests you, please visit

Our annual licence fee is currently US$145 (this is our only recurring charge). Or you can pay by monthly subscription of US$14 if you prefer.
We give you, free, the materials with which to run two different Intro classes, and also "Awakening", our core 9-week cycle of classes.
Other classes and cycles are also available, ranging in price from $49 to $75.... these are optional.
You will need to rent studio space in which to hold classes (unless you are fortunate enough to have your own studio already); and to pay for your own local advertising (although you will immediately benefit from our overall promotional activity, and your listing on this website, as well as a suite of templates for ads, press releases, email campaigns etc).
Depending on where in the world you live and work, you may need to take out insurance, and in many countries you might have to pay a small annual fee for a performing rights music licence if your venue hasn't covered this already.
It is possible (not easy, but possible) to recoup more than your initial training investment, in your very first public running of the 9-week Awakening cycle. Pricing of your classes is up to you, but for example: 10 people x $25 per class x 9 weeks = $2,250 income, minus your venue hire and promotional costs.
Once you've recovered your initial investment in your training, running Chakradance courses and classes should make a helpful contribution to your income.
You will need internet access and a computer (mac or PC) to download and "save" the course materials. You can sync them to other devices (ipad, iphone etc) later if you wish, but it's easiest to download to a computer first.
And assuming you successfully complete the course and go on to facilitate classes and courses for the public, at that point you will need a good (loud, but lightweight enough to be portable) sound system, unless your chosen venue already has one.
It is best to come to the dance without expectation. You will have a range of different experiences, and it may be different each time you dance it. You may feel the energy of the chakras in a very physical way and by listening to the wisdom of your body, you might find that you receive insights and guidance on what is needed for each chakra right now. Often when we begin to stir the energy of a chakra, emotions and feelings that we have buried inside begin to gently unfold. This is all a natural part of the process of energy shifting, and it is best if you can simply let the process unfold without judging it or trying to change things. We also store memory energy within chakras and old memories often surface during the dance. Trust, let go and let the dance lead you to where you need to go.
Many people describe Chakradance as a waking dream as it is common to receive symbol images during the dance. Images always have an energy pulsing with them and we encourage you to let this energy be danced through you. The images and symbols that emerge as you dance each chakra are expressions of the energy contained within and often give you wisdom and insight into this chakra.
In line with normal practice for online businesses, we cannot offer refunds on digital programs that can be downloaded.

Morning or evening, or a time when you can be present for yourself is best. Find a place where you won’t be interrupted. It is important to know that this is completely for you. The world can wait outside, and when you finish your journey you will be able to meet life in a deeper, more meaningful way.
Absolutely. Chakradance is as much an inner experience as a physical one. It's a form of exercise for your whole being, not just for your body. So people can, and do, benefit from Chakradance even if they are physically unfit, obese, or even wheelchair-bound.
You just need to know your own physical limitations, respect them, and dance within them.
You don’t need any dance experience or training to participate in a Chakradance class or workshop. The dance is your own free-form spontaneous expression of the energy of each chakra. Anyone and everyone can Chakradance.
Eyes open if you're watching the DVD, obviously! But otherwise, Chakradance is often most effective when we dance with our eyes closed, so that we can access our inner world. If you feel uncomfortable dancing with your eyes closed, keep your gaze lowered and your attention focused inwards.
After you have finished, take the time to reflect on anything that rises into your consciousness. We encourage you to keep a journal and record what comes into your awareness.
Then, watch the day unfold. The beauty of Chakradance is that the dance is only the beginning. When you find yourself more in tune with your inner journey you become more aligned with the world around you. You enter the moment with greater clarity and see the wonders that await you, awake and refreshed.
When working with the chakras it is really common to have a more active dream-life then usual, and recording any images, memories or feelings that surface during this time can all help with the healing process.
We each have our own rhythms and schedules and so how often you practise will be unique to you. Some practise daily, while others dance once a week. We have designed a range of products of different lengths, so even if you only have 15 minutes, you can still reap enormous benefits. The more often you practise Chakradance, the deeper your inner healing process will be, and the more this will be reflected in your outer life.
Of course! It really doesn’t matter if you don’t know anything about the chakras. Although we do provide information about the chakras throughout the classes and workshops, Chakradance is all about experiencing your chakras. The classes will provide you with an embodied understanding of the chakra system, and you will learn to work with your chakras in practical ways.

Wear loose, comfortable clothing that you can move freely in. We usually dance in bare feet. And remember to bring a bottle of water.

We encourage you to create a sacred space to dance in. Turn the lights low, light a beautiful candle, ring a chime or simply set your intention to prepare for healing.
It is important to settle into the inner focus of your attention and awareness. We find the best way is to close your eyes, follow your breath, relax and let go into wherever the chakras take you or wherever you wish to venture. Each time you dance, your experience will be different. As your energy shifts and the blocks dissolve, you will find yourself moving into deeper states and feeling more balanced.
